Abstract

Abstract
In this paper, we have raised a problem of assigning solar power generators to a number of specific locations. For each location, a number of solar power generators can be assigned. We have considered the costs of purchasing solar power generators, as well as the current costs of each solar power generator in each location over each time period. Over a period of time, each solar power generator in any given location can produce a certain amount of electricity. The objectives of our research problem are to minimize the purchase and current costs of solar power generators and to maximize the amount of solar power produced. Also, the restricts of the research problem are capacity of costs and capacity of amounts of electricity generation. So the question (problem) is how to assign solar power generators to locations so that the objectives are optimized while ensuring constraints. To solve the research problem, we first modeled the problem in a mathematical formulation. Then, we converted it into an equivalent problem using Lagrange and gradient operators. Since the solution to the research problem was obtained by solving a system of equations, and solving the system of equations using analytical methods with good complexity was not possible, we decided to solve it using the genetic algorithm method. So we designed a suitable genetic algorithm and used it to obtain a suitable approximate optimal solution.
